NBA Trades: 3 blockbuster James Harden trades based on NBA rumors – Atlanta Hawks

Hawks receive: James Harden, Paul Millsap, Jevon Carter

Nets receive: John Collins, Bogdan Bogdanovic, De’Andre Hunter, 2022 First-Round Pick, 2024 First-Round Pick, 2026 First-Round Pick

Now that the Ben Simmons trade is out of the way, the fantasy trades will begin. James Harden is not getting traded, but if he did get dealt, he’d probably only get traded somewhere he would want to be.

Atlanta might just be one of those places…

Harden and Trae Young would be an odd duo, but a talented one nonetheless. That backcourt plus whatever other depth the Atlanta Hawks could put together would be a playoff team at the very least.

Paul Millsap and the Brooklyn Nets are reportedly working to find him a new home anyway, so he could make his return to Atlanta. And Jevon Carter would be thrown in for salary-matching purposes.

This trade would improve the depth of the Nets, that much is true. John Collins and Bogdan Bogdanovic could start alongside Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving (when they play away games).

The overall depth on the roster would be solid, and De’Andre Hunter still has a ton of potential as a 3&D player, too. So he could carve out a nice role for him in Brooklyn.

As far as the picks, they could be packaged to trade for even more depth. Overall, as unrealistic as this trade is, it wouldn’t be a bad consolation prize if the Nets were going to lose Harden anyway.
