Trade targets for the Los Angeles Lakers this season: Jeremy Lamb

Although Holiday would make sense for the Lakers, he might not be the Pacer that they are eyeing at this moment. Los Angeles is already on the record with prior trade interest in Jeremy Lamb, who would also be a feasible trade target to bulk up their wing rotation.

They ultimately elected not to trade for him this past offseason as he was coming off a string of brutal injuries, but now that they have seen him in action this season, LA might be open to revisiting their interest in him.

Following his injury-riddled campaign last year, Lamb is struggling to regain his footing in Indiana. Across 20 games, he is averaging 7.2 points and 2.6 rebounds in just 14 minutes per game as he has taken a backseat in the rotation.

On a positive note, Lamb is shooting a solid 38.3 percent on three attempts from behind the arc this year. The Lakers would give him a chance to earn more time and put that sweet outside shot to good use.

If the Pacers are looking to trade away their veteran pieces, Lamb would be an underrated player among the bunch. He would not be the first Pacer that teams would be calling for, but he could be a helpful two-way piece for someone like the Lakers.

Absorbing his $10.5 million salary would be a challenge, but one that is possible for the purple and gold. Time will tell if their rumored interest in the swingman ever amounts to anything genuine.
