Odds of every NBA team winning 2021-22 title: Memphis Grizzlies +7500

We love Ja Morant. In a very minimal amount of time, the explosive point guard could challenge for not only an MVP award but also the mantle of who’s the best player in the league. But, unless the Memphis Grizzlies make some wholesale changes on their roster, they’re more likely to miss the playoffs altogether as opposed to competing for a championship.

There’s a lot to like about the roster currently. Morant is as good as it gets in his young bracket that includes the likes of Zion Williamson and Luka Doncic. The Grizzlies also just locked up Jaren Jackson Jr. to a long-term contract. Also, Dillon Brooks has turned into one of the best trash talkers/two-way forces in the game. But the Grizzlies don’t have enough to put a scare in teams like the Lakers, Nuggets, and Jazz.

What the Grizzlies will need this year to make us eat our words is a time machine. As previously stated, Morant has the potential to be the best player in the world. But while we believe he’ll make a significant leap in year three this season, he won’t be entering his prime just yet. Even if he did, the Grizzlies have utterly no shot at winning it all this year.
