Atlanta Hawks: Elton Brand

Elton Brand was known for several different stops. He was the Rookie of the Year and played two seasons with the Chicago Bulls. He was a two-time All-Star with the LA Clippers and nearly pushed them to their first Conference Finals appearance. Then he ended up with the Philadelphia 76ers and made enough of an impact that he has been involved in the front office during his post-playing career. However, there was a two-year stint with the Atlanta Hawks

After spending a season with the Dallas Mavericks (also nearly impossible to remember), Brand played the final two seasons of his career prior to his first retirement in Atlanta. He signed two one-year contracts and wore two different numbers. Over 109 games, Brand averaged 4.7 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in just 17.4 minutes per game. He started just 19 games in those two seasons and was happy to call it a career, at least for six months before returning to the Sixers for one final stint. He only hit 20 points once with the Atlanta Hawks and in his final seasons never reached double digits.

The highlight of this run came as the Hawks earned the best record in the Conference in his final season with the team. The Hawks would make it to the Conference Finals, allowing Brand to appear in a Conference Finals for the only time in his career.
