Atlanta Hawks: Grading their NBA draft and offseason moves

Wrapping up the Atlanta Hawks offseason and grades
Atlanta fans can rest easy knowing Collins and Young are locked in together until the 2024-25 season. Not to say Collins is without his flaws. The foul trouble, limited post-game and inconsistency are to name a few. That being said, it’s not a long list of better forwards out there who also seem to get along with Young’s particular playing style. But now he is locked in as the second-best option on a contender.
Along with a slew of young stars like Reddish – who is the youngest player ever to average at least 12 points per game with 50-60-80 shooting splits. However, Danilo Gallinari might be the player on the trade block as Reddish, Johnson and De’Andre Hunter rise up the ranks. But the core is set with space for draftees to develop. In fact, Johnson and second-round pick Sharife Cooper are already being compared to the Collins and Young dynamic.
Atlanta is back on the map and are no longer ‘up and comers’. It’s time to show Atlanta’s postseason success was no fluke and the front office did a hell of a job putting the pieces together for that.
