Brooklyn Nets: 5 offseason roster moves they need to make
Brooklyn Nets offseason move No. 3: Re-sign Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot
After bouncing around the league with four teams in his first five seasons, Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot seems to have found a home with the Brooklyn Nets. He originally signed on at the start of the 2019-20 season on a two-way deal despite having had three seasons in the league.
Fortunately, in the month before the NBA shut down due to COVID-19, the Nets converted that two-way deal to a 10-day contract. At the end of that contract, Luwawu-Cabarrot signed on with the Nets until the end of last season.
During his time with the franchise, he has averaged 7.0 points, 2.1 rebounds, 0.9 assists, and 0.5 steals in 18.1 minutes per game. His role changed this season thanks to the arrival of Durant and Harden meaning his 3-point percentage dropped from 38.8 percent in his first season with the franchise to 31.4 percent last season.
Again the Nets would be wanting to sign Luwawu-Cabarrott to a minimum deal thanks to their cap space. He will want to take this offer up as the Nets gave him his second chance and because he has found his niche, he will be able to continue to carve a career with the franchise.
