Houston Rockets goal No.2) Chemistry

The next goal for the Rockets as the season draws to its conclusion is to develop greater on-court chemistry. They are 24th in the league with 108.1 points per game, which is not helped by the fact they are 25th in assists with 23.1 per game.

Their offense is not good as they are 30th in the league for 3-point percentage, 28th for field goal percentage and 27th for 2-point field goal percentage. All of this points to a group of players who are not in sync with each other, given that they are 27th in offensive rating.

Defensively, the numbers are only a little better. They are last in the league for total rebounds against. On top of that, they are 26th in 3-point percentage against and 24th in field goal percentage against.  All of this is good for ranking 25th in defensive rating.

Obviously, chemistry involves getting all the players who are injured back on the court so that they have a chance to play together and develop said chemistry. Fortunately for the Rockets, their two future cornerstone pieces, Wall and Wood, are on the court after their injury issues. This means that the team can assess how each player fits with their future core.
