Trade candidate No. 3: Zach LaVine

Ladies and gentlemen, the Chicago Bulls have an All-Star at their hands right now, and his name is Zach LaVine. The superhuman scoring machine that’s been averaging 28.6 points per game this season is set to make his debut into the big stage, which is set in Atlanta this year.

LaVine’s name has been circling the news pretty much since the season tip-off, with constant trade rumors flying around. The main concern is that many people seem to believe he is way too good for this Chicago Bulls team and his talents can be better utilized elsewhere.

Given the extremely cut-priced contract, that has him earning $19.5 million annually, teams will not be reluctant to trade for LaVine. He has just entered the prime of his career and can turn out to be a superstar if this season is any indication.

The Chicago Bulls are in a pretty weird place right now. They have the right pieces and the veterans to contend for a playoff spot, though they can’t seem to be able to pull it all together from a coaching standpoint.

The one glaring weakness in his game seems to be his defensive competence. LaVine could shine on a team with potent perimeter defenders around him, something that his teammates in Chicago cannot help him with.
