18. Indiana Pacers

The Indiana Pacers nailed it this time. More often than not they go with something odd but going back to something historic here is a good call for this franchise. Not every team can pull off pinstripes but this team did it from 1997 to 2006 and bringing that back is a strong choice.

These are more than pinstripes. They are a symbol of who we are and what we represent.

The royal blue pays homage to the state flag, furthering the historical references. While simple has been a criticism for some of the other teams this is a situation where it was a good call. Better to go with simple than the Hickory choice of years past.

17. Los Angeles Clippers

It is hard to be too critical of the Los Angeles Clippers’ choice. They were one of the most popular choices of anyone in the league last season. The Old English lettering is in the design of a Mister Cartoon tattoo and is a connection to the art culture of the city. The black plain is a crisper look than the white of last year.

The biggest issue is that it is too similar to last year. When other teams choose bright colors to change up a similar look from year to year the Clippers simply went from white to black. This lack of overall creativity lowers their ranking slightly.
