NBA: 6 best free agents who are eligible to play in resumed season

Jamal Crawford
A three-time Sixth Man of the Year winner, Jamal Crawford is a player that many teams could be eyeing ahead of the NBA’s return. The guard turned 40 years old earlier in March this year but assured that he wants another shot in the NBA, despite going unsigned in free agency.
“I’ve been training as if I’m playing,” Crawford told ESPN in March. “I work out every single day. I was working out today actually and I’ve always loved it. I know I can help, in some regards, in some capacity.”
While his age may scare aware potential suitors, there is no doubt that the veteran can still play, as seen last season, when he was a member of the Phoenix Suns. Crawford scored 51 points against the Dallas Mavericks, becoming the oldest player ever to cross the 50 point mark in a game.
As for the season, Crawford averaged 7.9 points and 3.6 assists in 18.9 minutes per game. While he may not be the lethal offensive threat that he once was, the 40-year-old veteran could still boost a contender’s bench with his lethal skillset despite his age.
Crawford will potentially be a hot commodity when the transaction window opens up, with several teams looking for a proven bench scorer to bolster that second unit.
