4. Tyler Herro, Miami Heat

13.1 PPG, 4.8 REB, 2.2 AST

I can’t help but have Tyler Herro this high still because of his entire body of work up to this point.

He’s cooled down a little of late, but how Herro does what he does is nothing short of impressive.

Definitely the most confident player in this class outside of Ja Morant and Zion Williamson, Herro brings swagger with him whenever he’s on the floor in the form of deep shot making and hero (no pun intended) ball.

Miami’s most exciting shot maker, the range on Herro’s jump shot continues to be his main calling card. His 37.5 percent mark from deep isn’t anything to scoff at for a rookie and he continues to make those looks in a variety of ways.

Step backs, pull-up looks in transition, running off screens: it doesn’t matter how the Heat ask Herro to get his 3 balls. He’s as diverse of a shooter as they come, which is why he fits into so many different lineups for Miami and is so valuable of a perimeter player in today’s NBA.

Versatility with a signature skill to hang the hat on is the picture of near perfection in the modern game and Herro has enough in his bag to pull out at any time.

One thing to continue to monitor moving forward is his playmaking and time spent actually initiating the offense. If he continues to develop that area of his game, there’s no telling how much of an offensive juggernaut Herro could become in time.
