2. Karl-Anthony Towns will make 1st team All-NBA

Karl-Anthony Towns has been one of the best big men in the league since his entrance in 2015. Yet, for some reason, he’s had trouble making it onto one of the All-NBA teams. In his four years, he’s only made it once, at that was during one of his worst seasons.

Last season, KAT missed out on all of the All-NBA teams, despite recording a Player Efficency Rating (PER) of 26.38 (fourth-best in the league), as well as averaging 24.4 points, 12.4 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.6 blocks per game on a shooting split of 51.8/40.0/83.6 in field goal, 3-point, and free throw percentage respectively.

Those numbers were also among some of the best at his position. Out of all the centers in the NBA, Towns ranked third in points, sixth in rebounds, eighth in assists, third in average 3-pointers made, and third in average field goals made.

He did this while placing sixth in minutes per game on that list of centers. Towns ended up with the 10th-best PER in the league, however, six of the players above him did not qualify (you need to play more than 6.0 minutes per game), so when you remove those players Towns moves up to the No. 4 spot and he’s leading all centers.
