Philadelphia 76ers: Complete 2019 offseason grades

Adding Kyle O’Quinn
Kyle O’Quinn is prepared for whatever role he receives next season. When all said and done: The relief frontcourt man behind Joel Embiid and Al Horford.
The Sixers signed O’Quinn to a one-year, veteran minimum deal, a very reasonable price for a player with his level of experience. He’s had stints with the Orlando Magic, New York Knicks and Indiana Pacers.
In a third-string option at any position, it’s crucial to acquire somebody who has a history of performing adequately off the bench. O’Quinn is just that — altruistic in nature, and isn’t afraid to mix it up on the interior. From a subjective standpoint, there isn’t going to be the same elation as … Say, signing a big name like Carmelo Anthony. But this offseason was all about improvement while still maintaining the cohesiveness. O’Quinn upholds that approach.
Despite coming off arguably the worst season of his career in 2018-19, a change of scenery could be a good stepping stone for the 6’10” center.
