2. Hayes and NAW already click together

It is one thing to be able to play well individually, but another to make the others around you better as well. It was clear right from the beginning however that these two could thrive playing off one another.

If Nickeil Alexander-Walker wasn’t scoring, he seemed to be looking for Jaxson Hayes. The two excelled at running the pick and roll together, as shown here from the now viral clip:

With NAW being able to make any pass with either hand and Hayes having great hands and being able to catch anything that comes his way, these two form quite the formidable duo. Here is a play that shows off all of that:

These guys won’t be main contributors to this team come regular season, but it isn’t crazy to assume that these two will get run with the second unit.

If that is the case, it is nice to see that they already have good chemistry with one another and will be able to provide some offense off the bench. Hopefully for Pelican fans, these two will keep that chemistry and play alongside each other in New Orleans for the years to come.
