3. Jarrett Culver

It’s time to get into the more exciting prospects. Jarrett Culver quickly raised his stock by having an incredible sophomore season for Texas Tech. Averaging 18.5 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game, Culver is ready to make the NBA leap.

Listed at 6’5″, but probably standing closer to 6’8″, Culver appears to still be growing. His tall, lanky frame has already benefited him as a scorer and rebounder. The fact that he has retained his guard skills only makes him a more interesting prospect as he continues to add both height and muscle.

Culver excelled as a player who is capable of hauling in the rebound and pushing the tempo. He is a solid finisher around the rim and has a go-to floater he can drop in at will. The biggest concern of his game is his lack of a 3-point shot, shooting just 30.4 percent from deep last season. Still, his clean-looking jump shot leaves some hope for his future development.

The Cleveland Cavaliers would be happy to draft Culver. While he isn’t extremely talented at any particular thing, he is at least average in every aspect of the game. His scoring, rebounding and playmaking would all be welcomed additions to this rebuilding team.
