Final Grade

Jackson had his best 3-point shooting year and did a good job of taking care of the ball. He was also able to build his trade value up in case the team decides to trade him this summer. He’s never going to be the player that signed his monster contract back in the summer of 2016.

It’s just not going to happen, but he can also give you flashes of that player when the moment is right. He’s not going to have games as he did against the Hawks every night, but he still has some of those gems.

He needs to maintain his level of 3-point shooting next year, but he needs to work on his shooting efficiency in general. You can’t have a guy taking as many shots as he does, or you’re going to end up with a far less athletic Russell Westbrook.

At the end of the day, Jackson is what he is. He’s not going to be getting far better or developing any skills that we haven’t seen yet. He improved some this year, but it wasn’t a ton.
