1. Giannis is just too much of a problem

Giannis went 11-of-18 on the night which is good enough for a 61.1 percent mark from the field.

Giannis also made one 3-point attempt in the game that forced the Pistons to honor him further out than 10 feet. You wouldn’t in the majority of Giannis’ minutes as he’s just a 27.7 percent shooter from 3-point range for his career.

After trading away Reggie Bullock and Stanley Johnson, there is nothing that the Pistons can do to slow him down on a regular basis.

When he wants to get to the basket, he does just that. There isn’t anything that Detroit can do to slow him down. Their best bet moving forward might be to let him get his while attempting to slow down the players he is sharing the floor with. They don’t have anyone that can pose a major threat to Giannis when he’s driving to the basket, and he is a good enough passer to find the open man when his drive gets cut off.

Next. Best shot blocker from each team's history. dark

Coming into the series, guarding Giannis was going to be the biggest key for the Pistons to keep this series competitive. Through two games, they haven’t been able to do that. He’s shooting 57.1 percent from the floor in the series, and he has been an elite glass cleaner with 29 rebounds in the series. Even if Blake comes back for Games 3 or 4, if they can’t stop Giannis, this series will be all but over.
