17. Raptors vs. Warriors goes to OT in Kevin Durant-Kawhi Leonard showdown

The Golden State Warriors aren’t the same team without Stephen Curry, but his absence didn’t stop the Dubs’ Nov. 29 battle with the Toronto Raptors from being an absolute delight. With Curry and Draymond Green were both sidelined by injuries, Kevin Durant stepped up to the plate in a mano-a-mano duel with Kawhi Leonard.

With 55 seconds left in the fourth quarter, Kyle Lowry knocked down a 3 that felt like the final dagger, putting Toronto up by six. However, KD responded with back-to-back triples to force OT, including an absurd game-tying shot over Leonard with 8.6 seconds left.

Toronto was able to pull away in the extra period thanks to a few Warriors turnovers and trips to the foul line, but this star-studded duel between Kawhi and KD was a joy to watch unfold.

Durant finished with a season-high 51 points, 11 rebounds and six assists, while Leonard had 37 points and eight rebounds. Pascal Siakam recorded a then career-high 26 points as the Raptors moved to a league-best 19-4 record.
