Minnesota Timberwolves: Top 10 moments of the 2018-19 NBA season

3. Wolves beat Hornets to extend post-Butler record to 9-3
The Dec. 5 Timberwolves game against the Charlotte Hornets wasn’t a spectacle in and of itself, but the 121-104 victory pushed the Wolves’ record post-Jimmy Butler to a staggering 9-3.
While the game featured another virtuoso KAT performance — 35 points on 13-of-20 shooting — a massive fourth quarter where they outscored the Hornets 35-18 and even an encouraging Wiggins game to boot — 26 points on 11-of-19 shooting — the victory was prevalent as a piece to the overall puzzle.
After that game in Charlotte, the Timberwolves sank amidst a rough schedule in December and a rash of injuries in the early months of 2019. No matter how capped this roster’s ceiling may be going forward, we’ll always have that 9-3 stretch where the Wolves had both a top-10 offense and defense and it genuinely looked like they were having fun.
RoCo and Saric brought fun and style to the upper Midwest with tons of plays like these over that first month:

Long live that Nov. 12-Dec. 5 run — it’s one of the precious few things the Timberwolves have!
