Is a trade for Parker actually realistic?

Now that we’ve gone over the pros and cons of the Jazz trading for Jabari Parker, is it actually realistic for Utah to trade for the forward?

With Parker’s role in Chicago decreasing and the Bulls interested in making a deal to move him, it appears a deal in general for Parker would be realistic. Whether that’s with the Jazz or not, that’s still up in the air.

According to Mike Sorensen of the Deseret News, Parker has thought about being traded to and playing for the Jazz:

"“Yeah, I have,” Parker said. “I already have a home here, and I visit here frequently.”"

The only tricky thing when it comes to trading for Parker is his $20 million contract. It would likely take a player and package centered around Derrick Favors, who is making $16.9 million this season, along with another player to make a deal work.

Also keep in mind that Utah doesn’t have a ton of assets to move, if it wanted to go that route to make a trade package for Parker more enticing, considering the Jazz traded two future second-round draft picks to acquire Kyle Korver earlier this season.

Overall, Parker would be an interesting fit in Utah and could be a nice addition in Salt Lake City as the Jazz try to climb out of the middle of the pack in the Western Conference standings. Whether or not a trade is actually realistic, we’re about to find out.
