2. Reggie Jackson

After some increased shooting success to start the season, Reggie Jackson has regressed back to the level of shooting he has had for most of his career. Currently, Jackson is shooting 35.7 percent from the field, including 33.3 percent from 3-point range.

He’s done well to play as less of the primary option this season. Currently, he possesses the third-highest usage rate on the team behind Griffin and center Andre Drummond.

At this point, you’re probably thinking, what does Jackson need to work on if he’s playing at his normal levels? His normal levels need to be better.

For a team that’s building towards becoming a championship contender, Jackson doesn’t possess the necessary skills to help this team get there. His skill set is more reminiscent of the older NBA where 3-point shooting held lower value, and driving to the basket was more valuable.

Moving forward, another area that Jackson should work on is his ability to set up his teammates. Currently, he’s only averaging 3.6 assists per game. While he has been taking more of a secondary role to Griffin, he should still be seeing a higher number than he is right now.

As the team and offense get better, he should see that number go up while seeing his shots go down. Point guards aren’t solely set-up guys like they used to be, but Jackson could embrace it a bit more.
