1. Get back to the playoffs

The last and definitely not least of Kemba Walker’s goals for the 2018-19 season should be getting Charlotte back to the playoffs. The Hornets have now finished 36-46 two years in a row. That’s not good considering a year prior to those two seasons, they finished with an impressive 48-34 record and made the playoffs.

If you look around the league at elite point guards — guys like Russell Westbrook, Stephen Curry, Chris Paul, Kyle Lowry, Ben Simmons, Kyrie Irving, John Wall, Damian Lillard and Mike Conley — one thing they all have in common is that they win. Those players’ teams (barring injuries) are consistently in the playoffs.

Kemba has to rise to that level if he wants to be considered elite.

A lot of the Hornets struggles have been because the roster just isn’t built to win. It’s not like it’s been his fault that they’ve been struggling. But, as a bona fide superstar now, it’s Kemba Walker’s job to find a way to lead his team to the playoffs.
