3. Improve efficiency

When Kemba Walker initially came into the league, he was terribly inefficient.

During his rookie year, he averaged 12.1 points per game on 36.6 percent shooting from the field and 30.5 percent shooting from beyond the arc. That’s really, really bad. But for an undersized scoring guard in his rookie year, it’s completely understandable.

Kemba clearly wasn’t a lost cause in terms of efficiency, though. During his best season in the pros (2016-17), he averaged 23.2 points per game on 44.4 percent shooting from the field and 39.9 percent shooting from 3-point territory.

Clearly, Walker has improved drastically, but he shouldn’t be content with where he’s at. He’s a great offensive player. He can shoot it from anywhere, make plays for his teammates and he’s one of the NBA’s best in the pick-and-roll. Walker is no longer an inefficient player, but if he could become more efficient, he would take a huge step forward and cement himself as one of the league’s top point guards.
