Christmas Day is the holy grail of the NBA regular season. For many casual fans, Dec. 25 is the unofficial start of the NBA season. On this date every year, the league’s best and brightest stars take center stage to entertain America.

For the first time since 1997, the Utah Jazz will be playing a game on the biggest stage of the regular season. Fans in Salt Lake City can thank Mitchell’s rise to stardom for this game, and his poignant tweet from last Christmas. Ask and you shall receive.

The schedulers also gifted the fans with an enticing contest against the Portland Trail Blazers. The teams split the season series last year, and both will be looking to duplicate their success and return to the playoffs.

Odds Shark released their 2018-19 win totals, and the Blazers are expected to experience a steep decline. Winners of 49 games last season, Portland is predicted to win only 42 games. Utah is expected to remain stagnant at 48 wins.
