3. Age

Nearing the end of an outstanding professional career, Crawford’s best days are clearly behind him. The 38-year-old netted his worst scoring average this past year since his second NBA season, back in 2001-02.

He finished his one-year stretch with the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2017-18, averaging just 10.3 points, 2.3 assists and 1.2 rebounds per game.

The 76ers already have a proper dose of veterans on the roster for the upcoming season, so it may be a tad excessive to add another.

The team welcomed back veteran leaders J.J. Redick and Amir Johnson this summer. Redick, the current backbone of Philly’s 3-point shooting, should continue to aid in the floor-spacing that significantly improved the offense last year. Johnson brought valuable experience to the frontcourt, and constructed an exceptional rapport with the young players that will carry on into this year.

The Sixers also acquired forward Wilson Chandler and Mike Muscala this offseason, who both look to add contributions of their own.
