1. The Rockets are really, really good when Capela is on the floor

Going into the 2017-18 season, fans and critics questioned whether or not Chris Paul and James Harden could develop the chemistry to make the Rockets a legitimate contender. The tandem did practically everything to prove these doubters wrong as James Harden won his first career MVP award, Chris Paul was the floor general he’s known as, and Clint Capela had a breakout year.

There are some ridiculous statistics about how dominant the trio of Capela, Harden and Paul were this season, and it was only the first year Paul was on the team. The Rockets were 42-3 when all three players were in the lineup, and the three losses were only by two, three and six points. Houston outscored its opponents by an average of 11.5 points per game in these 45 games.

Capela played in 74 games this season, and the Rockets had three different winning streaks of 11 games or more. They were 34-7 at home, including a 20-game home win streak that ran from January to April. Overall, the return of Clint Capela is great news for Rockets fans as they are set for another run at the Golden State Warriors and the NBA Finals.
