4. Experience

Moe started playing basketball in Germany at the age of 14, joining Alba Berlin’s youth division. By 16 he was playing for Alba Berlin’s second team in the fourth-ranked German division, helping them win a championship in 2013-14.

in 2014-15, Wagner made his debut in the Bundesliga, the top league in Germany, playing in two games for the club. He had an opportunity to continue playing professionally in Europe, but opted to play college ball at Michigan.

In an era where one-and-done players are the norm, Wagner bucked the trend and stayed in school for three years. Of the 24 players selected before him, only three others were juniors.

Moe played 107 career games at Michigan, helping lead the Wolverines to the NCAA Tournament in each of his three seasons. In his sophomore year, the Wolverines made it to the Sweet 16 and in his junior campaign, he helped Michigan reach the NCAA championship. Wagner was the only non-Villanova player named to the Final Four All-Tournament team in 2017-18.

Wagner started playing professional basketball in his early teens and carved out a solid career at Michigan. He may only be 21 years old, but he definitely has more experience under his belt than most players his age.
