3. Robert Williams (No. 27) — Boston Celtics

Multiple mock drafts had Williams going in the lottery, but he fell to the end of the first round instead. Questions about his work ethic were the main reason for him sliding to the Boston Celtics

Fortunately for Williams, he enters a great situation with the championship-contending Boston Celtics. If that doesn’t keep him motivated to play hard, however, then Danny Ainge won’t hesitate to move him.

Williams averaged 10.4 points, 9.2 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game in his second year with Texas A&M. He did this despite only being 6’9″ — undersized for a center.

Even though he is small, he would be a great fit as a stretch-4 for 5. Unfortunately, he has virtually no 3-point game whatsoever, and he doesn’t score much outside of the paint.

If Williams doesn’t improve his game or fails to compete at a high level, then he will undoubtedly be a bust. His game doesn’t fit well in the modern era, and his defense can’t make up for it.
