Final grades

Rivers was great for the Clippers, helping the team stay in the playoff race despite having multiple players miss major time. He improved in nearly every statistical category and was clutch for a team lacking offensive firepower. He uses his length and body well on both sides of the court.

Throughout his career, Rivers has ignored the background noise and drama, and continues to prove that he belongs in this league as much as anyone else. He isn’t just the “coach’s son”, but a legitimate scorer and defender.

That being said, he still has flaws in his game. His inconsistency and poor free throw shooting is something that will keep him from becoming an All-Star caliber player. On a healthy team, Rivers would be more suited coming off the bench.

However, if he continues to work hard and develop his game, he will eventually silence the naysayers. His swagger will be revered, rather than viewed as arrogance.
