Final grade

Unfortunately for Donovan Mitchell and his teammates, their season is over, and has been for a few weeks now. On the flip side, this Jazz squad was supposed to be hoping for ping pong balls to fall their way, not be vying for a postseason berth; let alone actually snag one.

Donovan Mitchell was viewed as a combo guard coming out of Louisville, and primarily viewed as a project, someone that would take time to develop if he were to become something in this league. Few believed in him from the jump, but those that did are the ones laughing now. Mitchell wasn’t supposed to be this good, this fast. Except he is.

Donovan Mitchell is already a star in this league, and definitely wasn’t supposed to be a bright spot in Utah’s predicated dismal season. Except he is; and is well on his way to superstardom.

Mitchell’s rookie season was nothing short of a success, and he’s here to stay. Take note, world.
