2. Rockets had a better collection of players

Coming into this season, the Jazz did not count on Mitchell being as good as he was. So essentially the point is the team did not build around him coming into this season.

Even with the efforts of Mitchell, it was not enough to bring the Rockets down. It was only enough to win one game.

The Rockets have players that have been in the league longer and their veterans have won a lot of experience in the playoffs.

Everybody knows the exploits of Chris Paul and James Harden. Both players are some of the best players in the league. Top 10, in fact. The Jazz have no such player on their team.

The Rockets have had time to build this roster and are a juggernaut in the West. We have to remember that they were facing the No. 1 overall team in the league, not just the Western Conference.

After losing Gordon Hayward, the Jazz drafted Donovan Mitchell and did not really add any major piece to their team. This team overachieved after making it to the fifth seed in a West, where it was packed from the third seed to the eighth seed. They were outmatched by Houston’s firepower, but winning a series when you remember their best player is a rookie was still very impressive.
