Lance Stephenson

Lance Stephenson might be the most interesting player in the NBA. His antics, energy and effort level allow him to be effective despite making all sorts of weird and negatively impactful plays on the court.

In Memphis, Lance was more of the negatives and hardly any of the positives. He spent 26 games on the Grizzlies in 2015-16 and was… not great. He scored 14.2 points per game on 35.5 percent 3-point shooting, solid numbers when compared to the rest of Stephenson’s body of work. But he turned the ball over 1.8 times per game, and his antics did not let him stick in Grizzly land.

Stephenson currently plays for the Indiana Pacers, who fell short in a competitive seven-game series with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He averaged 10.4 points in 21.3 minutes per game for the series, shooting 46.2 percent from the floor.

Stephenson’s antics got under LeBron James‘ skin multiple times in the series, showing that Lance can be effective and still might have a place in the league. Well, in Indiana at least.
