1. The Jazz won a playoff series

No, this isn’t the beginning of the article again — it’s just something that’s worth repeating.

Some people will view Utah’s series victory as not as much to do with the Jazz, and more to do with the Thunder.

The Thunder’s Big 3 was a Big 1. The Thunder’s bench didn’t step up.

In any case, the fact remains: Utah is playing the Houston Rockets next, the team that just dismantled the Minnesota Timberwolves in five games.

While it is true that the Jazz went 0-4 against the the Rockets in the regular season, it doesn’t mean they should be viewed as underdogs. The Jazz are legit. Their best player may be a rookie, but that rookie just took down Russell Westbrook, Paul George and the ghost of Carmelo Anthony.

(Okay, so he took down the Big 2. Two wasn’t greater than one this time though! What were we talking about? Oh yeah — Utah.)

The Jazz aren’t just Donovan Mitchell. They’re Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert. They’re the sharpshooting Aussie Joe Ingles. They’re I Have Hair That Most People Dream Of Ricky Rubio. They’re an undrafted player who’s a legitimate role player in a playoff rotation in Royce O’Neale.

They’re the Utah Jazz, and they’re not going anywhere soon.
