Memphis Grizzlies: 2017-18 player grades for Marc Gasol
By Tony East
Highlights
The Grizzlies made this easy for us since they recently uploaded their video of Marc Gasol’s highlights from the season, but we can pick out our favorites.
One of the best Gasol moments of the year was against the Toronto Raptors on Dec. 8. He caught the ball on the wing and immediately put in on the deck, blowing by Jonas Valanciunas for the monster dunk at the rim:
The big fella can move!
Gasol didn’t have any clutch shots this year thanks to Memphis’ paltry record, but his masterful passing was still on display every night. This one against the Clippers showcases his ability to place the ball basically wherever he wants:
If the Tennessee Titans ever need a new quarterback, they should look at Gasol.
Finally, a great defender like Gasol deserves a block highlight. And is there a better block to showcase than one on none other than LeBron James?
As far as game performances are concerned, this might be a bit alarming, but in the team’s second game of the season, Big Spain slapped up 34 points and 14 rebounds against the defending champs, helping lead Memphis to a 10-point win over the Golden State Warriors.
Gasol’s lackluster effort season still produced some great highlights. Imagine how this section could look if he gave maximum effort every night!
