Rationale:

  • Chicago Bulls forward Bobby Portis capped the best five-game stretch of his career with an exceptional offensive performance against the Philadelphia 76ers. In just under 34 minutes off the bench, Portis poured in a career-high 38 points on 15-of-26 shooting from the field, to go along with eight rebounds and two rebounds. The outing resulted in 49.6 fantasy points in FanDuel NBA tournament play. Portis has converted at least 50 percent of his attempts in four of his last five games, while averaging 19.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game.
  • A double-digit scoring performance from Dallas Mavericks legend Dirk Nowitzki Saturday night against the Utah Jazz would mark his 10th consecutive, the longest stretch of the season. Nowitzki has been a factor in FanDuel NBA tournaments over the stretch, averaging 13.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and converting 46.8 percent of his attempts from 3-point range. During the 10-game run, Nowitzki has connected 22 times from beyond the arc, helping him surpass 100 made 3-point field goals for the ninth time in his Hall-of-Fame career.
