5. Joakim Noah

There may not be anything the Knicks would like to do more than rid themselves of Joakim Noah. Things came to a head last week when Noah reportedly had a heated exchange with head coach Jeff Hornacek and was sent home.

It was said that Noah left the team for personal reasons, but it turns out that he is upset at his role. Noah has been out of the rotation all season, as he started things out finishing up his suspension.

Ridding themselves of Noah, however, is easier said than done. The Knicks are ramping up their efforts to trade him, but it could take a miracle for a trade to be completed that involves Noah.

There are a lot of negatives against Noah. This most recent episode won’t help things. His eroding talent doesn’t help, as he hasn’t been a useful player in years. On top of that, his contract is one of the worst in the league.

The Knicks will try their best to trade Noah, but their mettle will be tested. They must stick to their guns. They cannot cave and add young players or future draft picks to a deal to rid themselves of Noah. Riding things out could be the best course of action for the Knicks if they are unable to find a trade partner.
