Los Angeles Lakers: 3 takeaways from Lakers loss in season debut

No. 3 Lack of chemistry, patience will be key
Now that the circus of the offseason has ended, teams can finally address matters with a dose of reality. One of those realities is this team is going to have to learn fast from tough losses and seeing how they play through adversity. This is a young team that will be full of mistakes and their best case scenario is maybe landing an eighth seed in an already tight Western Conference.
Lonzo Ball did not have much of a chance to put his passing skills as much as we would have like to seen. But the same offensive woes plagued the rest of the team as they struggled to create space or find themselves open in transition. The only player on the team who ended the game with a positive plus/minus was Larry Nance Jr. with a +4.
Larry Nance Jr was the standout player among his teammates playing 29 minutes scoring 14 points on 7-for-11 shooting. He was able to grab himself 12 total rebounds and set a double-double for himself for the first game of the season. Other then Nance Jr. the rest of the team struggled to gain any traction as the gap widened down the stretch.
It should be noted that the return of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope should overall help and add to the teams chemistry after the end of his two game suspension.
