Los Angeles Clippers: 3 players to watch in NBA preseason

2. Milos Teodosic

Milos Teodosic was perhaps the biggest offseason pickup for the Clippers. He will help replace Paul at the point guard position and his future couldn’t be brighter. Teodosic is expected to start the season as the backup point guard behind Patrick Beverley, but his role will be huge.

Standing in at 6’5″ and 194 pounds, Teodosic will be able to create mismatches with his size. L.A. may end up starting him by the end of the season, but his role will certainly increase over the next couple of years.

Last season while playing in the EuroLeague, Teodosic averaged 16.1 points per game to go along with 6.8 assists. He shot 44.4 percent from the field and connected on 38.1 percent of his 3-pointers.

In his preseason debut, Teodosic only put up one point on 0-of-5 shooting, but also added eight assists in 25 minutes off the bench. Los Angeles will need Teodosic to be a floor general off the pine. He will be the leader of the second unit and his ceiling is through the roof, even at age 30.
