3. Be named an All-Star

McCollum was quite public with his thoughts concerning how he and backcourt mate Damian Lillard failed to earn a bid from coaches last season.

So, just as I guaranteed that one of his goals is shoot at least 50 percent from the field, I also guarantee that one of McCollum’s goals is to be named an All-Star this year; however, unless the NBA does away with its tradition of East v. West, I highly doubt it will happen.

Let’s face it: McCollum is arguably putting up All-Star numbers. Unfortunately, he plays in the Western Conference, where Stephen Curry, Russell Westbrook and James Harden are shoo-ins. McCollum’s best bet is to replace Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson as a reserve, but it’s likely that Lillard will also be strongly considered for the same spot.
