NBA: Ranking the teams in the Pacific Division for 2017-18
1. Golden State Warriors
The Warriors will undoubtedly clinch their fourth consecutive division title this season.
After winning their second NBA championship in three years, they have re-loaded and are perhaps even better than last season. Back are their fantastic four of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant and the always-underrated Draymond Green. That alone would be enough to scare the boots off a person.
They may have drafted the next Green in Jordan Bell. The 6’9″ forward out of the University of Oregon can do a little bit of everything. If he can follow and learn in Green’s shadow, he has a good chance of sticking around the NBA for a long time.
They also brought back David West, JaVale McGee, Andre Iguodala, Shaun Livingston and Zaza Pachulia. Oh, and Durant took a darn discount to stay with the franchise. That’s just about every piece from their team last season.
Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), they got even better with the signings of Nick Young and Omri Casspi. Both players have shot over 40 percent from the 3-point line multiple times over the course of their career. Not that the Warriors needed any more spacing, but that’s exactly what they got. They will be even more impossible to defend this season with all the diverse lineups they can put on the floor.

It’s always a good idea to write in pencil, so you can erase your mistakes. As for the Warriors, however, I’m going to write this one in ink.
