No.1 Remaining patient and contributing

The New York Knicks just recently filled their 15 man roster for the upcoming 2017-18 regular season. With that being said, it’s now possible to imagine and speculate all the possible rotations the Knicks can throw at their opponents.

This is where Damyean Dotson comes into play with his versatility. While there is plenty of talent at the guard position, Dotson will likely have to exhibit some rate of patience to find himself decent minutes.

While it is all but safe to assume Carmelo Anthony will remain a Knick, his departure or stay will affect the minutes of several players throughout the course of the season. As well as Tim Hardaway Jr likely to be the second option on offense next to Anthony, this also decreases the likelihood that Dotson will see much of the court early in the season.

Where veteran Courtney Lee fits into the lineup also may set back Dotsons time on the floor. It can be speculated that Lee could be the sixth man to lead a mixed rotation of rookies and second-year players Mindaugas Kuzminskas and Ron Baker.

There is still plenty of time for the Knicks to make further moves in the way of trading making the situation even more complicated.

Damyean Dotson will have to find patience and focus on making the best decisions possible with all of his opportunities on the court to increase his playing time.
