Los Angeles Clippers: 3 bold predictions for Blake Griffin in 2017-18
By Evan Massey
Blake Griffin Will Average at Least 25 Points Per Game
That’s right, Blake Griffin is set for a major increase on the offensive end of the floor this season. He averaged 21.6 points per game last season, which doesn’t make 25 points per game sound too far out of the question.
On the outside looking in, Griffin should receive a major increase in shot attempts. He averaged 15.9 field goal attempts per game last season. Those numbers should skyrocket, as the Clippers no longer have Paul, Redick, or Jamal Crawford, who were all high-profile scorers last season.
There is no question that Griffin is capable of averaging much larger numbers given the opportunity.
While some critics do not think Griffin can be the focal point of the Clippers’ offense and lead his team to competition, he is ready to prove them wrong. Griffin is capable of averaging more than he has in years past and he will do so with at least 25 points per game.
