2017 NBA free agency tracker: Grades for every deal so far
Anthony Morrow: 1 year, $2.1 million (Portland Trail Blazers)
This is a non-guaranteed deal, but considering Anthony Morrow was once considered an X-factor off the bench for the Oklahoma City Thunder’s championship aspirations, he’s too noteworthy to not include.
As the favorite for the Portland Trail Blazers‘ 15th roster spot, Morrow’s career 41.7 percent accuracy from 3-point range could be a useful replacement for the departed Allen Crabbe, who ranked second in the league from downtown at 44.4 percent last year.
Morrow had a down year at 30.8 percent, and his lack of defense has helped him disappear from most rosters. But for a minimum deal without a guaranteed roster spot, making him compete with Archie Goodwin and Isaiah Briscoe seems like a decent idea.
