Mike Scott: 1 year, $1.7 million (Washington Wizards)

The Washington Wizards need bench depth, that much is certain. Mike Scott hasn’t been part of an NBA rotation since 2014-15, with his minutes and role with the Atlanta Hawks on the downward spiral since 2013-14.

Last season, he averaged only 2.5 points and 2.1 rebounds in 10.8 minutes per game over 18 appearances. He shot a dismal 28.8 percent from the field and 14.8 percent from three-point range.

Clearly, Scott is a flawed player. But for a Wizards bench desperate for help, signing this 28-year-old veteran to a one-year flier is worth the minimal investment.
