Top Four Point Guards

  1. Damian Lillard ($9,700) vs. Oklahoma City Thunder
  2. Kyrie Irving ($7,000) vs. Memphis Grizzlies
  3. Derrick Rose ($6,800) vs. Phoenix Suns
  4. Elfrid Payton ($5,100) vs. Orlando Magic

Rationale:

  • There haven’t been many down nights for Kyrie Irving this season. Cleveland’s leading scorer was held to just 11 points on 4-of-13 shooting from the field by the Hornets Saturday night, his second-lowest scoring effort of the season. Irving responded to his lowest point total of the year by hanging 29 on the Hawks in the next game. In seven career games against Memphis, Irving is averaging 24.7 points per game and could be in line for another high point total.
  • Derrick Rose has been driving to the basket more frequently and finding plenty of success. In his last six appearances, New York’s point guard is averaging 20 points and shooting 55 percent from the field. Any concerns of the back issues that sidelined Rose for two games were erased Sunday night in Los Angeles, as he converted 12-of-16 shot attempts against the Lakers as part of a 25-point outing.
