Miami Heat squad

Justise Winslow is definitely being groomed to take a more prominent role this season with the Heat, and Josh Henderson is developing as a good pairing with him. Both players were instrumental in Miami’s playoff run.

They led the Summer League team to a Day 1 win but neither played on Day 2 versus the Knicks. Not that it mattered; the Knicks got spanked anyway.

The Heat squad is now 2-0 in the Orlando Summer League, thanks to a double-digit effort by Juwan Howard Jr. (son of Heat Summer League head coach and Heat assistant coach Juwan Howard) against the Knicks.

They are tied for first place, so far, with the Thunder squad, but boast a plus-45 to the Thunder’s plus-10.

The Miami squad next plays on Tuesday, July 5, against the Magic’s Blue squad. Should be a good time-killer.
