Milwaukee Bucks : 5 Keys To Success In 2016-17
By Gary Gorski
Continuing To Pick Well
The Milwaukee Bucks have done an excellent job in recent drafts and will have the 10th and 36th selections in the upcoming draft, which is a great spot to be in for a draft that is low on superstar power but deep in NBA talent.
The No. 10 pick provides a host of options depending on what happens during draft day. The Bucks could look to grab an athletic big man such as Kentucky’s Skal Labissiere who could add both size and shooting. Michigan State’s Deyonta Davis could be an option as could Domantas Sabonis from Gonzaga, or maybe even teams cool on Marquese Chriss (although that seems more unlikely as time goes on).
The 36th pick will also have plenty of possibilities available. Perhaps a backup point guard like Demetrius Jackson, Tyler Ulis or Gary Payton II would be a choice, especially if they can move MCW. The Bucks could also look at Virginia’s Malcolm Brogdon who would add some physicality off the bench or even take a chance on a player like Juan Hernangomez who has had some impressive workouts this summer and fits the role of modern day stretch-4.

2015-16 should be looked back as a season of important developments for the Bucks as opposed to a year with a losing record. With Giannis running the show, a healthy and more developed Parker, continued solid play from Middleton, a larger role for Henson and some quality additions via the draft and free agency, the Milwaukee Bucks certainly can find themselves in the playoff hunt in 2016-17.
