Furkan Korkmaz, Turkey

Picks No. 15 and No. 19 are crucial for Denver to consider addressing some areas of needed improvement. The Nuggets desperately need to upgrade their three-point shooting. Denver was 27th last season from downtown, averaging a dismal 33.8 percent.

Mudiay was a sizable factor in that, shooting less than 32 percent on almost 3.5 attempts per game. Brown isn’t a great shooter right now either, so if he is their early selection finding a long-range gunner is even more important.

Turkish sharpshooter Furkan Korkmaz would be an excellent addition here. Korkmaz has proven to be an excellent scorer and has done so against high-level competition.

Despite needing to add size he looks to be a fearless shooter and could even be a player Denver chooses to stash overseas for development since they do have most of their roster under contract.

Michigan State’s Denzel Valentine would also fit the bill here. Valentine shot better than 44 percent from beyond the arc last season and would offer Denver a very heady all-around player who just happened to be named the AP Player of the Year last year as well.

Valentine might not have superstar potential, but as Golden State fans can attest sometimes taking a solid, all-around workhorse who had four seasons under Tom Izzo can be a good thing.
