18. Terrence Ross

Remember when Terrence Ross was bursting with potential? At 25 years old, it’s past time to start worrying about the way his points, rebounds and minutes per game have all declined in every season dating back to three years ago.

To be fair, Ross is not a useless player. He’s been a net positive off the bench for the Toronto Raptors with a +3.4 plus/minus, and he’s averaging 9.5 points in 24.0 minutes per game. He’s also converted 38.5 percent of his three-pointers, which is even more impressive considering he’s taking 4.6 of them per game. In other words, he can do more than just dunk.

But Ross has also failed to make the leap in each of the last two seasons. He’ll have nights where he’ll completely disappear, and even with DeMarre Carroll missing all but 23 games this season, Ross couldn’t find a way to crack the starting rotation. There’s nothing wrong with being a spot shooter off the bench, but that’s well short of the ceiling that most projected for him.
