19. Donatas Motiejunas

We were deprived of seeing how a stretch-4 like Donatas Motiejunas could thrive in an offensive system tailored for his talents like Stan Van Gundy’s offense in Detroit, but there’s no question a healthy D-Mo is an extremely deft player with an inside and an outside touch.

Unfortunately, the very thing that derailed the Pistons trade — D-Mo’s back problems — has prevented Motiejunas from building on his breakout season from last year. Motiejunas has mostly been a non-factor for the Houston Rockets this season, averaging 6.2 points in a meager 14.6 minutes per game over 33 appearances.

But compared to his 12.0 points and 5.9 rebounds per game on .504/.368/.602 shooting splits from last year, D-Mo’s 44.3 percent shooting from the field and 28.8 percent shooting from deep are worrisome. Combine his decline in production with his health issues and his career might not ever be the same.
